Tip Up Holder

Two tip-ups. One sled. Standing upright, flag ready to fly.

The problem with carrying wood tip-ups is that they tumble around in the sled, the flags trip on everything, and the spools end up packed with snow before you've drilled the first hole. This holder fixes it. Two slots, mounted to your sled rail, tip-ups stand vertical until you're ready to set them.

Sized for the actual tip-ups you own:

• 3-1/4 by 1-1/4 inch internal slot fits Beaver Dam Original and Lakes & Rivers Wood tip-ups exactly (3 inch by 1 inch arms - the standard wood tip-up dimensions)
• Front face opening lets the spool/mechanism clear the holder body - no wedging, no forcing
• 7-1/2 inch tall tubes - deep cradle that catches roughly one quarter of the tip-up arm so it stays rock-steady through rough sled tow. Cheap generic holders are 4 to 5 inch and let the tip-up rattle. This is the deep one.
• Open top, solid floor - tip-ups cant fall through, snow brushes off

Mounts in 5 minutes with wing-nut hardware (included):

• 3 stainless steel button-head bolts (M5 thread, 1 inch long)
• 3 stainless fender washers (3/4 inch OD, top - distributes load)
• 3 stainless fender washers (3/4 inch OD, bottom - protects HDPE rail)
• 3 M5 stainless wing nuts

Drill three 13/64 inch through-holes in your sled rail top, drop the bolts down, wing nuts on from underneath, hand-tighten. Works with gloves on. Removable for off-season storage.

Mount it INSIDE or OUTSIDE the sled wall. The bracket sits at mid-height on the tubes so you can install with tubes facing UP for in-sled storage, or out-of-the-way external mounting on the sled exterior. Same hardware either way.
